MANITOU To Enter Studio In November

MANITOU, the Finnish traditional/progressive heavy metal band who feature in their ranks members of OMNIUM GATHERUM, will enter Sound Supreme Studios in Hämeenlinna, Finland in late November with producer Janne Saksa to begin recording their as-yet-untitled second album, tentatively due in early 2006 visa Firebox Records. A single will precede the album a few weeks before the full-length effort sees the light of day.

MANITOU released their debut album, "The Mad Moon Rising", in the summer of 2004 through the now-defunct British label Rage of Achilles Records. The CD was re-released by Firebox Records in February 2005.

According to the band, MANITOU's new material will feature a shift in direction from the progressive style. The new material will be "a bit more traditional and straightforward metal."
